In the last blog, we introduce the entry-level phone Redmi 8 global version. Today, we’ll take a quick view to the Redmi 8A Global Version.
In comparison with Redmi 8, Redmi 8A seems more colorful and fashionable. On the front, it features a 6.22-inch water drop screen with a resolution of 1520×720 and Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5. Redmi 8A comes in Ocean Blue, Sunset Red and Midnight Black, both of which are very bright and beautiful. The back design of central axis symmetry + 3D curved surface is more prominent than other entry-level series. In addition, the back of the phone is not smooth, but has layers of texture, so that it will be not easy to slip out of the hand, and also good to avoid fingerprints.
In terms of core configuration, Redmi 8A uses the same Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 439 as Redmi 8, which has a 8x ARM Cortex A53 octa-core CPU and Qualcomm® Adreno™ 505 GPU. Three storage combations are availabe: 2GB+32GB, 3GB+32GB, and 4GB+64GB. Why the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 439 be chosen? The Redmi gave the official explantions: Although this is a 400 series processor, its performance is not inferior. Not only based on the 12nm manufacturing technique, the phone can also run a score of nearly 100,000 on AnTUTU Test. Matched with MI Turbo, the Snapdragon 439 is also able to deliver a good user experience.
Redmi 8A allocates a 12MP rear single camera, supporting phase detection auto focus, automatic HDR, and AI scene detection, and a front 8MP selfie camera, supporting AI beautify 4.0, AI portrait mode and face recognition.
In battery life, as we mentioned in the last blgo, Redmi 8 series has a 5000mAh ultra-large capacity battery. The phone supports 18W fast charging and adopts type-C charging port, but it comes standard with 10W charger. 18W fast charger needs to be purchased separately.
